Abstract
The purpose of this research is to examine and analyze the different perception of main tourism destination competitiveness in Jakarta. Precisely, this research digs out whether the different perception on competitiveness factor is affected by the social characteristics of the visitors. This research also intends to find out the most competitive factors among the three tourism destinations according to the visitors. This research is a survey research which tries to describe social phenomenon and the correlation of socio-economics variables (education level, employment status, and income level) towards environmental competitiveness at the three tourism destinations through hypothesis examination. Information are collected from 300 respondents from three destinations by using questionnaires, and each destination contributes 100 respondents. The analysis unit of this research is individual (the visitor). The collected data are analyzed by using Kruskal-Wallis Statistics. The finding of this research reveal that the tourism destinations' competitiveness is not determined by the same indicators at every tourism destination. The determinant factors in tourism destinations are various, and are different for each destinations. Another finding in this research explains that environment, human resources and infrastructure are the three main or superior factors in tourism destination in Jakarta based on visitors' perception.
