Abstract

This community service aims to disseminate personal and environmental hygiene as well as the selection of suitable tools and chemicals for cleaning service when cleaning public areas on Trisakti School of Tourism Campus.The cleaning services are hopefully able to increase their understanding on how to clean the area properly and use appropiate chemicals so that the area is free from bacteria and germs. For this purpose a classical method with a discussion and question and answer approach is employed ,and followed by practice session to check the participans understanding on the given topics, such as : (1) Definition of Grooming or Personal Hygiene, (2) Definition of Personal Hygiene, (3) Definition of Public Area .The results show that this training facilitates the cleaning service understanding on personal hygiene or grooming, the general area they are responsible for, the importance of chemicals and the appropriate selection of equipment and the way they are stored.
