Abstract

ABSTRACT: This study aims to analyze the effect of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and Work Environment on Employee Performance at Rumah Makan Putra Minang in South Jakarta. The research used a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to restaurant employees working in the kitchen, service, and cashier divisions. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with a total of 100 respondents. The data analysis technique employed multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS software. The results of the study indicate that Occupational Health and Safety has a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance. This finding shows that the implementation of workplace safety procedures, safety training, cleanliness, and emergency preparedness can improve employee productivity and work effectiveness. In addition, Work Environment also has a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance. A comfortable work environment such as good lighting, adequate air circulation, organized workspace, and harmonious employee relationships can enhance employee motivation and service quality. Simultaneously, Occupational Health and Safety and Work Environment significantly influence Employee Performance at Rumah Makan Putra Minang in South Jakarta. The coefficient of determination test shows that Occupational Health and Safety and Work Environment are able to explain 61.1% of the variation in Employee Performance, while the remaining 38.9% is influenced by other variables outside the study. The findings of this study imply that restaurant management should improve workplace safety implementation and create a conducive work environment to enhance employee performance and operational effectiveness.
