Abstract
FAMILIES ARE THE BIG MARKET IN TRAVEL BUSINESS BUY THEY WEREN'T PAYED BIG ATTENTION BY STAKEHOLDERS. THE PURPOSE OF THIS STUDY WAS TO EXAMINE FAMILYS TRAVEL MPTIVATIONS. SURVEY MTHOD WAS USED IN THIS STUDY AND QUAETIONARES WERE THE MAIN INSTRUMENT FOR COLLECTING DATA. THE SAMPE WAS OBTAINED FROM RECIDENCE IN BOGOR CITY, WEST JAVA AND CONSISTED OF 300 FAMILIES CHOSEN BY CONVENIENCE SAMPLING TECHNIQUE. THE FINDINGS INDICATED THET THERE WERE TWO DOMINANT FAMILY'S TRAVEL MOTIVATIONS, PERSONAL ESCAPE AND INTERPERSONAL SEEKING. THIS INFORMATION WILL BE USEFULL FOR STAKEHOLDERS IN DESIGNING FAMILY TRAVEL STRATEGY.
