Abstract

The role of the private sector is needed in providing funds for the preparation of planning documents used in the sustainable development of tourist villages that require large funds to reduce the burden on local governments. This descriptive qualitative research described the role of stakeholders, especially private companies that support the development of Breech Tourism Village, in Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra Province. The results of this study found that private companies in the environmental sector play a very important role in providing funds to create important documents used as references for the development of Bresang Village into a Tourist Village and for community empowerment activities in Breech Village. The results of these activities form a tourist conscious group and the flagship products of Sungsang Village that can be used as a source of income for the community.
